This is the most expensive specialty coffee in the world, selling for between $120 and $1500 USD per pound, mainly in Japan and the United States. Why is it so expensive? Because it is a little eccentric, and there is only a little bit of it, made in certain parts of Indonesia and the Philippines. Worldwide, only about 1000 pounds are being sold each year.
Kopi (Indonesian for “coffee”) + Luwak (Indonesian name for the palm civit)
And it should taste like shit…

Prospective data relating caffeine consumption to breast cancer risk are limited.
This is what the article “Caffeine Consumption and the Risk of Breast Cancer in a Large Prospective Cohort of Women” from the October 13 2008 issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine, published by the American Medical Association, concludes according to the abstract.
A 10-year study of nearly 40,000 women 45 years or older has found no negative effects of caffeine when related to breast cancer. There had been suggestions that the effect of heavy caffeine consumption may speed up the progression from benignbreast disease to more aggresive forms of breast cancer. No such statistically significant health effect was found in this study.
However, it was stated that women having benign breast disease lumps may be at a higher risk. Benign breast disease in general is considered a risk for breast cancer.

Even a Coffee Bean or San Francisco Coffee outlet frequenter won’t be able to master the art of appreciating true gourmet coffee unless they know the history and info about gourmet coffee. Oh, of course, you don’t have to an EXPERT to enjoy and understand gourmet coffee, but knowing a little bit more than the grocery store owner who sells instant coffee would help you appreciate the taste, smell and absolute heaven that gourmet coffee fans know gourmet coffee is absolutely capable of.
Gourmet coffee is nothing like wine. With wine, the longer you leave (some wine, anyway), the better the taste, the higher the quality and the pricier it is. But with gourmet coffee, freshness says a lot. If possible, get coffee beans that have been roasted no more than 1 week before. And if you’re going to learn how to appreciate gourmet coffee, only buy 100% Arabica coffee. Read the rest of this entry
